Author Biography: Sarah Simblet teaches drawing at the Ruskin School of Drawing and Fine Art, University of Oxford, and she lectures at the Royal College of Art in London. Her Ph. D. thesis brought together life drawing and human dissection to describe interior and exterior views of the human body. A practicing artist, Sarah has a studio in Oxford. Along with group exhibitions, she exhibits in solo shows: 'Sarah Simblet-Drawings' at the Pitville Gallery, Cheltenham (1999), 'Theaters of the Body' at Chris Church Picture Gallery, Oxford (1998), and 'Five New Drawings' at the Long Room, New College, Oxford (1993). Simblet has been interviewed on The Today Program on BBC Radio 4 and has acted as a consultant for a BBC Art-Science documentary. Photographer John Davis spent several years in Australia where he became known for his beautifully lit, strong images. He contributed to the acclaimed book Atlanta Dream which featured nude portraits of the Australian Olympic team.
